+    she faced the exuvium
+    fledging and yet
+    clipped dragonfly
+
+    as a fruit awaited
+    the days to bring color
+    to harden her wings
+
+    she drank and healed
+    ate the heads of bees
+    and once more the mold
+    proved not made of herself
+
+    it was the river
+    the digested sting
+    coated in pollen
+    in thick hemolymph
+
+    those into which
+    she was made and where
+    she too would devour
